This project consists of a series of renovations to the existing 210,000 sf Foxborough High School. The work will include replacing the existing HVAC equipment with high efficiency systems, new roof, replace windows, electrical upgrades, a new fire alarm system, replace the gym floor, accessibility requirements and asbestos abatement.
Also included are renovations and upgrades to the science labs, in part due to accreditation. This work will include reconfiguring the labs to "clabs" or classroom labs with interactive white boards, digital projection and sound systems, increased seating capacity, new ventilation and new safety systems.
Work will occur while the building remains in use and occupied by students and teachers. Upon completion, one key result will be energy savings estimated to be 39%, or $128,400 per year based on the current energy costs.
