Town of Carver Breaks Ground on Site for New Elementary School
Ceremony marks the beginning of project by CTA Construction
Carver, Mass. (October 21, 2016) – The Town of Carver and CTA Construction celebrated the ground breaking of the new Carver Elementary School project during a ceremony on October 14, 2016.
The new school is being constructed adjacent to the existing school buildings which will remain fully operational for the duration of the two-year $37 million dollar project.
“This ceremony marks the beginning of a bright future for the Town of Carver and its new school project,” said Matthew Kaye, project manager at CTA Construction. “CTA is pleased to work jointly with our partners in Carver including HMFH Architects and PMA Consultants to build a state-of-the-art school that will serve students, faculty and families in the community for decades to come.”
In addition to the construction, two new wells will be brought online and connected to the two existing school buildings, along with a new water treatment system. The new building will be energy efficient and Northeast CHPS verified.
Building completion is scheduled for the Summer of 2018 with final site improvements, including the playing fields and play areas, in late Fall 2018.
Waltham-based CTA Construction has completed more than 35 high-quality school construction projects in the Commonwealth since the company was founded in 2000, making them one of the most experienced school builders in the state.
