This two-phased project is coordinated around the activities of a fully operational, existing DPW facility. The scope of work includes 27,500 square feet of renovations to an existing building and 29,000 square feet of new buildings, including an office building, central motors facility, salt storage shed, and vehicle garage. The project also includes the complete demolition of a former incinerator building that posed potential liability and aesthetic problems for the town. The new complex creates a courtyard that shelters the neighborhood from internal DPW operations while also providing needed security. Significant landscaping visually buffers the street and nearby playing fields from the facility.
