Construction of a new 90,525 sq ft Two Story Elementary School for 395 students in grades K thru 3 with a Pre-K component for approximately 100 students. There are also approximately 110 +/- staff members occupying the school. The building consists of a central common use core and public use spaces such as the gymnasium, cafetorium, administrative areas, health suites and media center flanked by two (2) separate grade neighborhoods for grades Pre-K thru 3 which contain general classrooms, a special education classroom and various support spaces. Also included in each grade neighborhood are student and staff toilet rooms and common spaces such as media center common areas. The new school building sits on the 33+/- acre site which abuts residential neighborhoods, wooded areas and a town park. The existing building will be abated and demolished to make way for the additional site development.
