CTA Construction’s work on this new Department of Public Works facility is recognized by the Construction Management Associate of America, New England Chapter, with the Project Achievement Award. The former DPW building was demolished and removed before construction of the complex which is comprised of two new buildings. The 18,400 sf Vehicle Equipment Operations Garage houses a wash bay and vehicle and equipment storage spaces, and includes an attached 3,000 sf open canopy. The Operations Building is 23,500 sf, and houses administrative offices, support spaces for employees, workshops, and vehicle maintenance. The site was developed to accommodate parking, a fueling facility and a material storage bin area.
