The new Lexington Police Station is a two-story structure of approximately 32,850 gross square feet, comprised of administrative offices, training room, public meeting spaces, detention facilities, interview rooms, emergency communications center, evidentiary storage, emergency operations center, multi-bay garage, maintenance garage and sallyport facilities. The project includes the demolition of the existing police station located at the project site and construction of a new police station in the same location. Relocation of an existing 3 story historic wood framed house on the project site, construction of a temporary foundation, and moving and placing of the historic home to the newly construction temporary foundation is part of the scope.
